Course Description:

The purpose of this course is to teach health care providers the lymphatic decongestion method of Manual Edema Mobilization (MEM), a specific technique with biologic rationale designed to reduce sub-acute and chronic edema. Lecture and hands-on labs will be used to instruct all the components of the method. Case studies will be used to problem-solve management of sub-acute and chronic edema as seen in participant’s specific patient populations. This method is not applicable for primary lymphedema or post cancer lymphedema treatment.
